Aishwarya Rai and Dakota Johnson Share a Star-Studded Moment at Red Sea Film Festival 2025

Bollywood icon Aishwarya Rai turned heads at the Red Sea Film Festival 2025 in Saudi Arabia, where she shared a memorable red carpet moment with Hollywood star Dakota Johnson. Videos and photos of the interaction quickly went viral, delighting fans across social media.

A Cross-Continental Bond on the Red Carpet

On December 4, footage emerged of Dakota and Aishwarya chatting and holding hands during the festival. Dakota, recalling her recent visit to India, mentioned, “We went to Maha Kumbh,” prompting Aishwarya to express her delight at the American actress’s cultural experience. The two posed together for photographers, marking a rare and unexpected interaction between Bollywood and Hollywood royalty.

For the occasion, Dakota stunned in a black deep-neck cut-out gown, while Aishwarya exuded elegance in a beige ensemble paired with a black shrug, a combination that perfectly blended sophistication with glamour. Fans flooded social media with comments such as “Two divas in one frame” and “My queens,” celebrating the rare and stylish collaboration.

Dakota Johnson’s India Sojourn

Earlier this year in January, Dakota visited India with Chris Martin for Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour. During her trip, she was spotted seeking blessings at Siddhivinayak Temple alongside Sonali Bendre and Gayatri Joshi, and later at Shri Babulnath Temple with Chris Martin to pay homage to Lord Shiva. Her visit reflected a deep engagement with Indian culture, making the Red Sea meeting with Aishwarya all the more meaningful.

Current and Upcoming Projects

Aishwarya Rai’s recent project, Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan II, featuring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, and Sobhita Dhulipala, emerged as a box office success. The actress has yet to announce her next venture.

Dakota Johnson was last seen in the 2025 thriller Materialists, starring Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal, which earned $108 million worldwide and received positive critical feedback. She will next appear in the psychological thriller Verity, directed by Michael Showalter and co-starring Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett, slated for release in 2026.
