Ahaan Panday Signs Second Film with Aditya Chopra; Ali Abbas Zafar to Direct Action Romance

After a blockbuster debut in Saiyaara alongside Aneet Padda, newcomer Ahaan Panday has quickly emerged as one of the most promising fresh faces of 2025. Now, reports suggest that Panday has signed his second film—an untitled action romance produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Ali Abbas Zafar—best known for blockbusters like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai—was deeply impressed by Ahaan’s screen presence in Saiyaara. The filmmaker, who has been developing this new project with Chopra, reportedly felt that Ahaan’s emotional depth and dramatic appeal would make him the perfect fit.

“Ali wanted to return to his roots, to the genre that gave him so much love. He was blown away by Ahaan Panday’s aura in Saiyaara,” the report stated.

Aditya Chopra, meanwhile, is said to have suggested casting a fresh face for the film, believing that Panday’s limited exposure in the industry would work as his biggest strength. “His underexposure is actually his biggest advantage,” the report quoted, adding that after Saiyaara’s success, fans would be eager to see what Ahaan does next.

The untitled film will reportedly showcase a new dimension of Ahaan’s acting, blending passion, romance, and action with intense drama. The script has already been locked, while music sittings are currently in progress. The film is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of 2026.

This project also marks the fifth collaboration between Aditya Chopra and Ali Abbas Zafar, following Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Gunday, Sultan, and Tiger Zinda Hai.
