Agrawal Mahila Sabha Honours Talent at Hariyali Festival

Hariyali Festival and Talent Felicitation Ceremony Organised

The Tikamgarh unit of the Madhya Pradesh Agrawal Mahila Sabha organised a grand 'Hariyali Festival and Talent Felicitation Ceremony' on the auspicious occasion of Hariyali Teej. Hundreds of women participated with enthusiasm, collectively conveying a message of greenery, prosperity, social unity, and women's empowerment.

A major highlight of the event was the felicitation of meritorious girls and women from the community, who were awarded for their exceptional achievements. The chief guest for this prestigious occasion was Shri Kailash Mittal, the State President of the Madhya Pradesh Agrawal Sabha. He was accorded a remarkable welcome by the Tikamgarh unit upon his dignified arrival.

Provincial office bearers accompanying him were also heartily felicitated. During the ceremony, talented members of the community, particularly Dr. Aastha Agrawal and Mahi Agrawal, were honoured by Shri Mittal and other officials for their noteworthy accomplishments. The aim of this felicitation ceremony was to encourage the younger generation of the community towards excellent performance and inspire them to progress.

Emphasis on Social Cohesion and Expansion

Several senior office bearers from the community attended the event, including Smt. Rama Agrawal, Executive Provincial President of the Madhya Pradesh Agrawal Sabha, and Shri Manish Agrawal, Executive Provincial President of the Youth Sabha, as distinguished guests.

In his address, Chief Guest Shri Kailash Mittal announced the formation of the Madhya Pradesh Agrawal Sabha in Tikamgarh and reiterated his resolve to make the Tikamgarh unit a 'Maha Sabha for every household'. He stressed the critical importance of connecting every family and member to the Sabha for the overall strengthening of the community, marking a significant step towards organisational expansion and reaching every segment of society.

Smt. Rama Agrawal conveyed her Hariyali Teej wishes to all women, distributed marital prosperity items, and called for maintaining mutual solidarity within the community. She emphasised that collective efforts pave the way for societal progress.

Shri Manish Agrawal highlighted the progress of the Agrawal community across various fields today. He underscored the necessity of involving the younger generation in social activities, stating that it is important to dedicate time and contribution towards society alongside fulfilling family responsibilities. He believes that active participation by the youth will enable the community to face future challenges.

Cultural Events and Membership Drive

Shri Prakash Lohia, Tikamgarh District President, and Shri Pradeep Agrawal, Secretary, also shared their thoughts, underscoring the significance of collective efforts in the community's upliftment. They informed that the Sabha organises various social and cultural events that serve to unite the community.

Smt. Poonam Agrawal, Provincial Deputy Secretary, appealed to the women of the community to follow the ideals of Lord Agrasen Maharaj and continuously strive for social unity and service. She explained the importance of following the path shown by Lord Agrasen, stating that his teachings remain relevant today and we should draw inspiration from them.

The event's structure was expertly planned by District President Smt. Smriti. Various entertaining games and competitions were organised for women during the Hariyali Teej celebration. All participants attended in traditional attire and the sixteen adornments, adding a special joy and vibrancy to the occasion.

In these competitions, a woman with the most attractive attire was awarded the 'Hariyali Teej Queen' prize, showcasing the women's love and enthusiasm for traditional clothing. Additionally, winners for punctuality were recognised, and a 'Lucky Draw' was conducted. All women were encouraged to participate in uniform attire, enhancing the event's uniformity and appeal, a unique initiative that provided an opportunity for everyone to celebrate together.

The women office bearers and leaders of the Mahila Sabha resolved to give new momentum to the organisation's membership drive. Many women took membership as life members and patron members of the Sabha, expressing their commitment to actively work for the benefit of the community and the Mahila Sabha. The aim of the membership drive was to increase the number of Sabha members and connect more people from the community to the organisation, reflecting the awareness and dedication of community members towards their organisation.

Provincial Deputy Secretary Smt. Poonam Agrawal made a special contribution to the event's success, playing a significant role in its organisation and smooth management. The event was successfully managed by Secretary Smt. Deepti Agrawal, while Treasurer Smt. Mamta Agrawal delivered the vote of thanks. The presence of the Mahila Sabha Vice President, District Secretary, various office bearers, and hundreds of women provided new energy to the event, a testament to the organisation's strength and women's participation.
