Adani Defence Arm to Acquire Majority Stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre in ₹820-Crore Deal

AdDefence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, has finalised agreements—along with its partner Prime Aero Services LLP—to acquire a majority stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd (FSTC), India’s largest independent flight training and simulation provider.
The deal values the company at ₹820 crore, according to an official statement.

About FSTC

FSTC is a key player in India’s aviation training ecosystem, offering:

• 11 full-flight simulators

• 17 training aircraft

• Training ranging from Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) to Type Ratings, recurrent training and specialised skill programmes.

The company is certified by both DGCA and EASA, and operates advanced simulation centres in Gurugram and Hyderabad, with additional expansion capacity.
It also runs one of India’s largest flying schools at Bhiwani and Narnaul (Haryana).

Why This Acquisition Matters

India’s defence and civil aviation sectors are experiencing rapid growth, with simulator-based training becoming vital for:

• Cost reduction

• Higher safety standards

• Improved mission readiness

FSTC plans to scale its presence across both defence and civil pilot training.

Adani Defence’s Strategy

Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, said the move strengthens the group’s aviation services platform.

“With FSTC joining Air Works and Indamer Technics, we now span civil MRO, general aviation MRO, defence MRO, and full-stack flight training,” he said.

He added that India’s airlines are expected to induct 1,500+ aircraft, sharply increasing the demand for certified pilots. The government's push for advanced simulation in defence training is also expanding opportunities.
