The Shri Shri 108 Satya Pracharini Ramlila Committee in Balrampur is busy preparing for the grand organization of its 63rd annual Ramlila. This highly anticipated religious and cultural festival will commence on October 11 and continue until October 21, with performances scheduled nightly from 9 PM to 2 AM.
A significant meeting chaired by committee president Rajkumar Srivastava meticulously discussed the event's outline, security arrangements, and special provisions for audience convenience. This year's Ramlila will feature vivid portrayals of numerous important episodes from the life of Lord Rama. The festivities will begin with Ganesh Puja and Mukut Puja.
Key Episodes and Artistic Performances
Following the initial rituals, episodes such as Vishwamohini, Narad Moh, Ram Janmotsav, Tadka Badh, Ahilya Uddhar, Dhanush Yagya, Sita Swayamvar, and Ram Vanagaman will captivate the audience. The lives of Shabari's devotion, Lanka Dahan, Ravan Badh, and culminating in the grand Ram Rajya Abhishek will be brought to life on stage, inspiring devotees with the ideals of Lord Rama.
The main objective of this event is to connect the new generation with the ideals of Lord Rama, the virtues of Maryada Purushottam, and the roots of Indian culture.
This year, the responsibility for the Ramlila performances has been entrusted to the experienced artists of the New Adarsh Vijay Ramlila Mandal from Lakhimpur Kheri. Senior Vice President Sanjay Sharma stated that these artists possess the ability to mesmerize audiences with their art and presentation. He described the event as a living example of Balrampur's religious faith and cultural tradition.
Grand Bharat Milap and Audience Facilities
The Bharat Milap Shobhayatra, to be organized during the Ramlila, will be a major highlight this year. This procession will traverse the main routes of the town, immersing the entire city in a festive atmosphere. The committee has planned to ensure special seating arrangements for the convenience of thousands of spectators.
The event will conclude with a Havan (fire ritual) and Visarjan (immersion). Numerous committee officials and workers, including Ajay Srivastava, Radheshyam Mishra, Vijay Kashyap, and Raja Ram Yadav, were present at the meeting. Full cooperation from the local administration and police department is expected to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.
