Blood Donation Drive Saves Lives in Balrampur

Balrampur, October 1, 2026 - The Service Pledge Campaign held a special voluntary blood donation camp on October 1, 2026, at the blood bank of the District Combined Hospital. A total of 35 units of blood were collected, which will be instrumental in saving the lives of needy patients.

The camp was inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Rastogi. In his address, he emphasized blood donation as a paramount act of human service and urged citizens to participate in this noble cause.

“Blood donation ensures timely availability of blood for any needy individual, thereby saving their life,” stated Dr. Rastogi.

Blood Donors Honored for Their Contributions

A significant number of individuals voluntarily came forward to donate blood at the camp. The 35 units of blood collected were a testament to their generosity. The Chief Medical Officer and other dignitaries praised the invaluable contribution of the blood donors.

All blood donors were honored with certificates of appreciation for their selfless service, which served as an encouragement for their noble act. Present at the occasion were Chief Medical Superintendent Dr. Raj Kumar, District Health Education Officer Arvind Mishra, Alok Agrawal, C.P. Srivastava, and Dr. Akanksha, along with numerous other health department officials and employees.

The department plans to continue organizing similar events in the future to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and ensure blood availability.
