Fourth Accused in ₹30 Lakh Robbery Arrested with Cash

The Farrukhabad Police have successfully apprehended the fourth absconding accused in a high-profile ₹30 lakh robbery case. The police recovered ₹1,03,490 in cash from the seized amount, along with a 315-bore country-made pistol and a live cartridge used in the incident. With this arrest, the police have now taken all four accused into custody, and efforts are ongoing to recover the remaining stolen money.

Significant Progress in Recovery Efforts

This arrest marks a significant milestone for the police, as a substantial portion of the total stolen amount has now been recovered. Previously, on August 20, 2026, the police had arrested three other accused in connection with the same case: Shiv Kumar, Vishal alias Seetu, and Umesh alias Tattaiya. From these three, ₹24 lakh out of the ₹30 lakh looted was recovered.

Details of the Fourth Arrest

Acting on a tip-off received around 3 PM on August 21, 2026, a police team set up a blockade at the Mother Memorial Public School intersection on the Weber-Mohammada Road. During this operation, the wanted accused, 28-year-old Kunwar Bahadur Singh alias Sonu, son of the late Vijaypal, resident of village Kalhor Pachah, police station Ghiror, district Mainpuri, was apprehended. During preliminary interrogation and a search, ₹1,03,490 in cash was recovered from the arrested individual. Additionally, a 315-bore pistol and a live cartridge, believed to be used in the crime, were also seized.

Additional Charges Filed in the Case

Following this police action, two additional sections have been added to the case. Besides the initially registered charges, a case has now also been filed under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act. Police stated that this additional action was taken based on the recovery made. Earlier, when the first three accused were arrested and a large sum was recovered, one section was also added to the case.

Ongoing Investigation and Recovery

In total, ₹2,50,3490 has been recovered so far in connection with this robbery. The police are making every effort to recover the remaining amount and are continuing further investigation into the case. Efforts are underway to gather more clues through interrogation of the accused.
