Pilgrimage Under Chief Minister's Scheme

As part of the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, a group of 259 pilgrims from Guna, Madhya Pradesh, departed on Saturday evening for a spiritual journey to Varanasi and Gaya. The district administration has organized this special pilgrimage, ensuring the safety and convenience of the travellers with five escorts accompanying the group.

Journey Details and Farewell

This six-day pilgrimage commenced on September 26 and will conclude on October 1. A festive atmosphere prevailed at the Guna Railway Station as senior district administration officials and public representatives bid a warm farewell to the pilgrims with garlands.

Official Engagement and Arrangements

During the send-off, District President Dharmendra Sikwar, Municipal President Savita Gupta, and Joint Collector Sanjeev Khemariya interacted with the devotees. The officials inquired about the arrangements made for the journey and provided essential guidance to the pilgrims to ensure a smooth trip.

Pilgrim Enthusiasm and Administration's Support

The departure was marked by a unique blend of happiness and devotion on the faces of the pilgrims. They expressed satisfaction with the facilities provided by the district administration, which include arrangements for food, accommodation, and seamless travel during their pilgrimage. This particular journey focuses on the ancient and significant religious cities of Varanasi and Gaya, known as the abodes of Lord Shiva and the place where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment, respectively. Varanasi, also known as 'Kashi', is one of India's oldest cities, renowned for its ghats, temples, and spiritual ambiance. Gaya is a major Buddhist pilgrimage site and a key location for performing 'Pind Daan'.

Logistical Preparations

During the six-day tour, pilgrims will have the opportunity to visit the prominent religious sites in both cities. Departmental officials present at the railway station assured that all necessary preparations have been completed for the smooth conduct of the journey, with special attention to security, health, and catering.
