Eye Camp Identifies Cataract Patients
In Guna, a free health camp jointly organized by the Rotary Club and Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust examined the eyes of over seventy patients. 25 patients have been identified for cataract surgery, and they will be sent to the Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya in Lateri for their operations. This event was conducted under the auspices of the District Blindness Control Committee.
Expert Medical Examination Provided
Specialists from the Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya, led by Dr. Sanjay Pandey and his team, conducted thorough eye examinations at the camp held in the Rotary Bhavan. Additionally, the camp offered facilities for blood sugar and blood pressure checks.
Camp Held in Memory of Prominent Figures
The camp was inaugurated by Rotary President Shyam Agarwal, Secretary Shailesh Gupta, and senior Rotarian Shikhar Chand Jain with the lighting of a lamp before an image of Goddess Saraswati. This initiative was held in memory of the mother of social worker Mahesh Agarwal, the late Smt. Radha Devi Agarwal, and the late Naresh Agarwal.
Free Arrangements for Surgery Patients
Camp coordinator Vikas Jain Nakhrali stated that the 25 selected patients will be sent to the Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya in Lateri. The institution will provide free accommodation, meals, and all surgical arrangements to ensure that those in need do not face any difficulties. The aim of this initiative is to restore sight to the needy and fulfill the spirit of 'Service to Humanity is Service to God'.
Medications and Spectacles Distributed
During the camp, Nitesh Sen, Dal Singh Jadon, Lakhan Sharma, and Ranveer Baghel from the Sadguru team played a significant role. Members of the Rotary Club also actively supported the service activities. Following the examinations, free medicines and spectacles were also distributed to deserving patients. This initiative by the Rotary Club Guna has provided significant relief to local needy individuals, offering them access to better healthcare facilities.
