Farrukhabad police have cracked a ₹2.4 million robbery case, arresting three individuals and recovering the stolen cash, while one suspect remains at large.

Robbery Case Uncovered in Farrukhabad
The Farrukhabad police have successfully solved the ₹2.4 million robbery case registered on August 19 in Mohammadabad. In a joint operation by Mohammadabad police, SOG, and Surveillance teams, three accused have been arrested and the entire looted amount has been recovered.
However, one member of the gang that planned the robbery is reportedly still at large with approximately ₹600,000. Superintendent of Police Arti Singh revealed the details during a press conference on Friday, stating that during the investigation of the robbery case registered in Mohammadabad, accused Shiv Kumar, Vishal alias Seetu, and Umesh alias Tattaiya were arrested based on informant information. The police recovered the entire looted sum of ₹2.4 million from these three individuals.
Details of the Robbery Plan and Execution
During interrogation, arrested accused Shiv Kumar made startling revelations. Shiv Kumar, a driver at GBA Steel Limited in Shikohabad, disclosed that he was aware of the money handled by firm employee Sandeep Gautam. He knew that Sandeep was scheduled to leave Farrukhabad with a large sum on August 18.
Taking advantage of this information, Shiv Kumar, along with his brother Kunwar Bahadur alias Sonu, planned the robbery with his associates Vishal alias Seetu and Umesh alias Tattaiya. According to the police, the accused strategically stopped the vehicle at a secluded spot on the Bewar Road near the Khatu Shyam temple. They then threatened the firm's employees with a firearm and snatched the bag containing the money.
The robbers had hidden the bag in the bushes near Veerpur village. The following day, they returned to retrieve the money and divided the recovered amount amongst themselves.
Arrest and Recovery of Accused
Among the three arrested accused, ₹975,000 was recovered from Shiv Kumar, ₹825,000 from Vishal alias Seetu, and ₹600,000 from Umesh alias Tattaiya. The motorcycle used in the robbery has also been seized from Umesh alias Tattaiya and impounded under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
The police stated that the main mastermind of the robbery, Kunwar Bahadur alias Sonu, Shiv Kumar's brother, managed to escape with approximately ₹600,000. Police teams are actively pursuing his arrest. All three arrested accused are residents of village Kalhaur Pachah, Police Station Ghiror, Mainpuri district.
SP Arti Singh informed that further legal proceedings are being taken against the arrested accused. The Mohammadabad police station, SOG, and Surveillance team played a significant role in this entire operation. CO Mohammadabad Ajay Verma and CO Amode Kumar Singh were also present during the press conference.
