The 195th birth anniversary of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi, a revered warrior from the First War of Independence in 1857, was celebrated with fervor in Farrukhabad. The event was organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Lodhi Rajput Kalyan Sabha at the local Anant Hotel.

During the ceremony, esteemed members of the community paid floral tributes to a portrait of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai, offering heartfelt tributes to her indomitable courage, patriotism, and sacrifice. The event was presided over by the Sabha's District President, Purushottam Verma, and conducted by District General Secretary Sandesh Rajput. Fatehchand Verma, District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and Uttar Pradesh Publicity Minister for the Sabha, was the chief guest.

Remembering the Veerangana's Valor and Sacrifice

In his address, Chief Guest Fatehchand Verma described the life of Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai Lodhi as a symbol of the struggle against the British for the defense of the motherland and independence. He stated that Rani Avanti Bai made the ultimate sacrifice of her life for the country, serving as an unparalleled example of sacrifice, valor, patriotism, and self-respect.

Verman urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the Veerangana's life and work for the welfare of the nation and society, thereby keeping her ideals alive.

Emphasis on Education and Organization

In his presidential address, Purushottam Verma stressed the importance of the community remaining united and following the ideals set by Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai. He emphasized that education must be prioritized for the overall development of the community. He also highlighted the significance of social unity and the active participation of the youth, calling for collective efforts to empower the community.
