150 Devotees Depart from Narsinghgarh for Vaishno Devi Pilgrimage

Devotees Embark on Pilgrimage to Maa Vaishno Devi

Amidst fervent chants of "Jai Maa Vaishno Devi," a group of approximately 150 devotees departed from Narsinghgarh on Sunday for Katra. This marks the 25th group pilgrimage organized by the Maa Vaishno Devi Seva Mandal under the guidance of Mahant Shri Dipendra Das.

The convoy's convenor, Rakesh Gupta 'Shri Tailor,' is completing his 30th such journey. The pilgrimage commenced with prayers and offerings at the Sheetla Mata Temple, followed by an 'aarti.' The devotees then proceeded through the town's main streets to the bus stand, accompanied by drumming and chants of 'Jai Mata Di.' From there, they commenced their journey to Katra by vehicle.

Diverse Group Joins the Devotional Journey

The pilgrimage saw participation not only from residents of Narsinghgarh but also from devotees hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Maharashtra. Members from the Bajrangnarayan Parayan Committee of Naka Baradwari and the Hanuman Mandir Committee also joined the group.

This accompanying committee will organize 'Sundarkand Path' and 'Parayan' at various religious sites along the route, including Darshani Darwaza and Kol Kandoi, during the pilgrimage. The overarching atmosphere was imbued with devotion and reverence.

Itinerary Includes Key Religious Sites

During their journey, the pilgrims are scheduled to visit prominent religious sites in Jammu, including the Balaji Temple, Raghunath Temple, and Shivkhori Dham. Following these visits, they will reach Katra to pay their respects at the main shrine of Maa Vaishno Devi in the sacred cave.

The entire pilgrimage is slated to conclude on September 11th.

Convenor's Deep Faith Drives the Annual Journey

“I consider Maa Vaishno Devi my mother at home. Every year, the mother calls one of her children to her abode. One never knows when or how the mother's call comes. I have been receiving the mother's blessings for so many years, and with this faith, this journey continues to be successful,”

stated pilgrimage convenor Rakesh Gupta, expressing his profound faith and considering Maa Vaishno Devi as family. He emotionally shared that the number of devotees participating in this pilgrimage grows each year.

Devotees typically travel from Narsinghgarh by bus and from Bhopal via the Malwa Express. This year's large turnout has created an unparalleled spectacle of devotion, faith, and reverence throughout the journey.
