Home Guard Office Hosts Successful Blood Donation Camp

Farrukhabad, September 6, 2026 - A voluntary blood donation camp was organized on Saturday at the District Commandant Home Guard office in Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad. Home Guard personnel and other members of the public actively participated in the event, which was held under the supervision of the Health Department.

A total of 15 units of blood were donated during the camp, which will be instrumental in saving the lives of needy patients. Donors contributed various blood groups, including seven O Positive, four A Positive, and four B Positive. This initiative not only ensured a supply of blood but also strengthened the spirit of service and cooperation within the community.

Importance of Blood Donation and CMO's Appeal

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Anand Upadhyay described voluntary blood donation as a vital medium for serving humanity. He emphasized that timely blood availability can be life-saving for patients injured in accidents, those battling serious illnesses, and women experiencing post-delivery bleeding.

“Dr. Upadhyay appealed to all healthy and eligible citizens to come forward and donate blood, encouraging others to do the same.”

The CMO also stressed the need for regular blood donation camps to bridge the gap in blood stocks at hospitals and ensure immediate access for those in need. He expressed gratitude to all donors, stating that their efforts further solidify humanity and cooperation in society.

He directed health department officials and staff to raise awareness about the significance of blood donation and to encourage more eligible individuals to participate.

District Commandant Home Guard Dhirendra Nath Singh personally donated blood, setting an inspiring example. In addition to him, Gaurav Singh Gangwar, Ajay Dixit, Kartik Batham, Ajay Singh Kushwaha, Ramniwas Singh, Pramod Kumar Verma, Chandravati, Sunil, Veer Bahadur Singh, Bhikham Das, Irshad, Vinod Kumar, Adesh Kumar, and Kuldeep voluntarily contributed to this noble cause. The collective efforts of these 15 donors have created a new lease on life for those in need.
