Grand Idol of Goddess Durga Installed

In Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh, a grand idol of Goddess Durga has been installed on the occasion of Sharadiya Navratri, becoming a special center of attraction for devotees. This 15-foot tall idol, established by the Shri Mansha Pooran Hanuman Mandir Navdurga Utsav Samiti in Baguchi Mohalla near the bus stand square, is a symbol of deep faith among devotees.

The idol, depicting Goddess Durga riding a lion and positioned opposite the petrol pump, features six arms. Adorned with a red 'chunari' (scarf) and attractive attire, a crown on her head, and enchanting makeup, the Goddess's form appears immensely impressive. Since the idol's installation, a large number of local devotees have been arriving daily in the evenings to offer prayers, filling the town's atmosphere with devotion.

Tradition of Celebration Continues for 21 Years

Committee President Pankaj Roshia and Vice President Amit Jatav stated that the tradition of Navratri celebrations has been upheld continuously since 2005. This year too, all committee members are diligently engaged in the arrangements for the event. This committee has been organizing this festival with grandeur for the past 21 years, fostering deep faith among the local populace.

According to the committee, this tradition has been ongoing for over two decades, with a noticeable increase in the number of devotees each year. Committee members are working day and night to ensure the success of the event, striving to prevent any inconvenience to devotees and allow them to fully enjoy the devotional atmosphere. The idol's decoration and the pandal's embellishments have been done specially, further enhancing the festive spirit of Navratri.

Maha Aarti on the Night of Navami

As part of the religious programs, a special 'Maha Aarti' (grand prayer ceremony) has been organized on the night of Navami, the ninth day of Navratri, scheduled for midnight. A large number of devotees are expected to participate in this grand Aarti, where they will worship the Goddess and pray for happiness and prosperity.

Chants of 'Jai Mata Di' are echoing everywhere in the region, filling the entire atmosphere with reverence and joy. The committee has made extensive arrangements for the convenience of visiting devotees, including security, drinking water, and other essential facilities. Along with the Maha Aarti, other religious rituals will also be performed on Navami, aimed at seeking the blessings of Goddess Durga.

The local administration has also issued necessary safety and arrangement guidelines in view of the fair and religious events, ensuring that all devotees can peacefully express their faith.
