The Chief Medical Officer of Mahoba, Dr. Binay Kumar, spearheaded the organization of Chief Minister's Health Fairs at the Ajnar, Khama, and Akouna health sub-centers on Sunday. These events saw a significant turnout of individuals suffering from seasonal ailments, with a total of 147 patients receiving health check-ups and free medication.
The primary objective of these health fairs, supervised by Dr. P.K. Singh, Superintendent of Jaitpur, was to enhance accessibility to healthcare services and raise awareness about seasonal diseases. This initiative is a vital component of the government's strategy to strengthen rural healthcare facilities and provide primary medical care.
Examinations and Treatment at Various Health Sub-centers
At the Ajnar Health Fair, a dedicated team including Dr. Ramkumar, ANM Neetu, Staff Nurse Bhagwati, Shailendra Dwivedi, and Arun examined 52 patients. Lab technician Shailendra Dwivedi conducted essential diagnostic tests for 8 patients, aiding in accurate health assessments.
Similarly, the Khama health sub-center's team, comprising Dr. Prem Narayan Sharma, Dr. J.P. Pastore, Dr. Shailendra Singh, and Staff Nurse Kiran, provided health check-ups to 48 patients and distributed necessary medicines for common ailments.
At the Akouna health sub-center, 47 patients were screened and received immediate treatment, including the distribution of medication.
Physicians Advise on Seasonal Illnesses
During the health fairs, physicians conducted thorough examinations and observed that a large number of patients were suffering from seasonal illnesses such as viral fever, common cold, cough, and gastrointestinal issues. Based on these findings, doctors emphasized the importance of personal hygiene.
They advised attendees to drink boiled or clean water, consume a nutritious and balanced diet, and adopt precautionary measures in their diet and lifestyle according to the season. Physicians stressed that timely health check-ups and prompt treatment are the most effective ways to prevent most seasonal illnesses.
The advice highlighted the benefits of regular health screenings and encouraged individuals to take any health concerns seriously and seek immediate medical attention. This guidance was particularly relevant given the increased risk of infectious diseases during the monsoon season.
