119 Couples Marry in Tulshipur Mass Wedding, Assistance Up to ₹1 Lakh Provided

Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh - A grand ceremony saw 119 couples solemnize their marriages in Tulshipur tehsil of Balrampur district on Friday, as part of the Uttar Pradesh government's Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme. The event, held at MDS Marriage Hall, aimed to bring happiness to economically weaker sections of society.

During the ceremony, 84 couples exchanged vows according to Vedic rituals and chanting, while 35 couples had their nikah performed according to Muslim traditions. Joy and enthusiasm were evident on the faces of the newlyweds and their families.

Key Dignitaries and Scheme Objectives

The chief guest for the occasion was Tulshipur MLA Kailash Nath Shukla. He was joined by former MLA Gaisari Shailesh Kumar Singh Shailu, Block Chief Gaisari, Project Director DRDA, Block Development Officers of Tulshipur, Gaisari, and Pachperwa, and the District Social Welfare Officer, along with other public representatives and officials.

The guests blessed the newly married couples with a happy married life. MLA Kailash Nath Shukla highlighted the scheme as a highly beneficial initiative by the state government. He announced that the financial assistance provided under this scheme has been increased to ₹1,00,000 per couple, as directed by the Chief Minister.

Financial Assistance Details Under the Scheme

The Chief Minister's Mass Marriage Scheme provides financial aid to needy families. Under this initiative, ₹64,000 is directly transferred to the bride's bank account. Additionally, ₹21,000 worth of gift items are provided to the newlyweds, and ₹15,000 is allocated for the organization and arrangements of the wedding ceremony.

Thus, the total benefit per couple amounts to up to ₹1 lakh. This public welfare initiative strengthens equality, respect, and social harmony, relieving a significant number of eligible families from financial worries concerning their daughters' marriages.
