10-Day Combined NCC Training Camp Begins in Bhind

NCC Camp Inaugurated in Bhind

A grand inauguration ceremony marked the beginning of a ten-day joint annual training camp organised by the 30 MP Battalion NCC in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. The camp will run until August 14, with approximately 350 NCC cadets from various educational institutions across the Chambal and Gwalior divisions participating.

The camp, held at the premises of ITI College, Bhind, was inaugurated by Commanding Officer Colonel Kulwant Singh Kuhad. Present at the occasion were Administrative Officer KK Srivastava, Subedar Major Madan Singh, and the entire military and administrative staff.

During the formal opening ceremony, Colonel Kuhad thoroughly briefed the cadets on the camp's stringent military regulations, the fundamental principles of the NCC, and the nation's rich historical heritage.

Role of NCC Cadets in Nation Building

In his inspiring inaugural address, Colonel Kuhad highlighted India's diverse culture, etiquette, civil discourse, and unwavering moral values. He advised the youth to embrace modern lifestyles while always respecting their cultural roots and diversity, describing this as the true identity of a soldier and an aware citizen.

Infusing new zeal into the cadets, he urged them to step out of their 'comfort zones' during this ten-day training and forge themselves into steel. His aim was for them to lead in nation-building, border security, and societal service during any unforeseen crisis or disaster in the future.

Practical Training and Future Preparedness

In this high-level camp, which concludes on August 14, cadets are receiving training in several crucial disciplines under the guidance of dedicated Associate NCC Officers and experienced Permanent Instructor Staff. This includes practical and mental training in operating modern weapons (firing), precise drill, map reading, civil defense, rapid disaster management, first aid, and personal health and hygiene.

This training will strengthen the all-round physical and mental development of these young cadets. It will also enhance their leadership abilities, teamwork, self-confidence, and spirit of strict discipline. It is hoped that this camp will serve as a milestone in making them eligible for careers in the Indian armed forces, as well as molding them into highly responsible, alert, and patriotic citizens of the country.
