Chief Minister's Health Fair Successfully Held in Farrukhabad

Under the direction of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anand Upadhyay, the Chief Minister's Health Fair was successfully organized on August 16, 2026, at all relevant health centers in the Farrukhabad district. The primary objective was to provide quality health services, disease screenings, treatment, and expert consultations to the general public at their nearest health facility.

Patients suffering from serious or complex illnesses were also referred to higher health institutions. Dr. Anand Upadhyay instructed health department officials and medical teams to prioritize the examination and treatment of every patient visiting the fair. He also directed that screening, medicine distribution, consultation, and referral services be made seamlessly available as needed.

Bringing government health services to the doorstep of every citizen is a key priority for the health department. This initiative aligns with the government's vision of accessible healthcare for all.

Over 1000 Patients Avail Services at 34 Health Centers

According to reports, the Chief Minister's Health Fair was organized across a total of 34 Primary Health Centers (PHC) and Community Health Centers (CHC) in the Farrukhabad district. These events saw a total of 34 fairs/camps conducted.

To ensure the smooth operation of medical services, 43 doctors and 140 paramedical and other medical staff provided their services. A total of 1,064 patients were registered and received essential health services at these health fairs. Among the registered patients were 491 men, 418 women, and 155 children.

The dedicated teams of the health department conducted detailed medical examinations, provided consultations, treatment, and various health-related tests as per the patients' needs.

Screening and Treatment for Various Ailments Provided

The Chief Minister's Health Fair offered special facilities for the screening and consultation of common illnesses as well as several major diseases. A total of 33 patients received counseling on the ill effects of tobacco consumption.

Additionally, medical services were provided for 27 patients with liver-related issues, 201 patients with respiratory problems, 182 patients with gastrointestinal issues, 145 patients with diabetes, and 320 patients with skin-related problems.

Furthermore, 13 patients were screened for TB (Tuberculosis), 10 patients for anemia, and 53 patients for hypertension. Patients suffering from other health issues also received necessary medical care. The health department teams provided appropriate treatment and health advice according to each patient's condition.

Patients with severe illnesses or requiring specialist treatment were referred to the concerned higher health institutions.

Awareness of Ayushman Bharat Scheme Promoted

Alongside the delivery of health services, the Chief Minister's Health Fairs also provided information about the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to eligible beneficiaries. During the fair, 15 Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA) were created, marking a significant step towards connecting beneficiaries with digital health services.

The health department provided detailed information to the public regarding the health facilities available under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, eligibility criteria, and required documents. Officials emphasized that eligible beneficiaries should maximize the benefits of government health schemes and secure their health records.

Focus on Prevention of Communicable Diseases

The health fair also prioritized the prevention of communicable and vector-borne diseases. During the event, 37 patients were tested for Hepatitis B, 33 for Hepatitis C, and 12 for ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate).

For the prevention and timely detection of malaria, 90 patients underwent Rapid Diagnostic Tests (RDT). Thirty-four tests were conducted for patients suspected of dengue. Departmental teams advised the public on mosquito protection, preventing waterlogging, and seeking immediate medical attention at health centers if a fever occurred.

According to reports, no positive cases were found in malaria and dengue screenings, reflecting the department's proactive efforts.

Emphasis on Maternal and Child Health

The Chief Minister's Health Fair placed a special focus on the health of women and children. Pregnant women and other needy patients were provided with essential medical consultations and screening facilities. Children attending the fair also received medical check-ups and necessary counseling.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anand Upadhyay instructed the health teams to continuously work towards making maternal and child health services more effective. He stressed the importance of educating pregnant women about regular check-ups, institutional deliveries, nutrition, and essential health services.

Early Detection and Management of Non-Communicable Diseases

Through the Chief Minister's Health Fairs, efforts were made for the timely detection of diabetes, hypertension, skin diseases, respiratory illnesses, and other non-communicable diseases. Officials expressed concern over the rising impact of these diseases due to changing lifestyles and advised regular health check-ups, a balanced diet, regular exercise, and abstaining from tobacco and other harmful substances.

Patients attending the fair were motivated by doctors to make necessary lifestyle improvements. Individuals consuming tobacco were made aware of its harmful effects and encouraged to quit.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anand Upadhyay directed health workers to take the health-related issues of pregnant women and children attending the health fair seriously and provide necessary services. In severe cases, they should be referred to higher medical institutions in a timely manner.

He also ordered ensuring that information about health schemes and programs reaches the public and that health workers play an active role in helping eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government schemes.

A large number of people benefited from the health services at the Chief Minister's Health Fair, reflecting an increase in public trust towards healthcare services. The availability of integrated facilities such as medical consultation, various tests, disease screening, health awareness, treatment, and referrals at a single location proved highly beneficial to the public.

The health department appealed to citizens not to ignore any health problem but to seek medical advice at their nearest government health center and undergo regular health check-ups. The Chief Medical Officer urged the district residents to make the most of the Chief Minister's Health Fair and other health programs run by the government.
